Warriors are always on the move, and always discovering the best spots around campus to hang out, study and connect with friends. Whether you’re grabbing a cozy seat in the library or soaking up the sun on the quad, everyone has a favorite place to land. These are just a few of ours!
Student Union
The Student Union is the go-to hangout space for students, and home to our eSports club and women’s bowling team! This spot is perfect for when you’re looking for something fun to do and want to be part of the action. Our Student Union includes:
- Six-Lane Bowling Alley
- Golf Simulator
- eSports Center
- Pool Tables
- Monica’s Kitchen: a café and grill featuring indoor and outdoor seating with a variety of food options from all-day coffee (Starbucks!) and breakfast to paninis, soups, salads, pub fare, daily specials, Sal’s Pizza, plus gluten-free and vegan options!
The sakowich campus center
The Sakowich Campus Center, nicknamed the “Sak” by Warriors, is located in the center of Merrimack College and is the heart of campus life. The Sak is perfect for when you want options; it’s active and bustling, but also offers quiet corners and space to spread out. In the Sak you will find:
- A lobby with a comfy fireplace, mix of seating and lots of natural light
- The multi-purpose room (MPR) where you can play a pickup game of basketball with friends
- The Fitness Center where you can catch a spin class or lift weights
- The Commuter Lounge, a home base for our commuter students
- Sparkys, our main dining hall on campus for a sit-down meal, offering buffet-style stations serving rotating specials, salads, pizza, pasta and more
- Warrior’s Den, a quick stop between classes to grab a smoothie, acai bowl, sandwiches, snacks and more
The Hub & unity house
Tucked just behind the Sak, the Hub and Unity House are always full of energy. Big events, weekly favorites and cultural pop-ups bring Warriors together and keep campus buzzing. Here’s what you’ll find:
- The Office of Student Involvement (OSI), who host 1000+ events (like Spring Concert, Big Prize Bingo, the Student Involvement Fair and Glow Bowling to name a few) on campus every year
- Community Coffee, a weekly event hosted in the Hub that offers Warriors free coffee, donuts and pastries before they hit the books
- Pop-up events hosted by the Unity House, like Taste the World, where students enjoy food from authentic local restaurants while exploring different cultures through cuisine
McQuade Library
The McQuade Library is where you can find an abundance of resources. It’s perfect for when you need to tackle a group project, study for finals or want to find some peace and quiet. Located in the middle of campus, you will find:
- McQuade Café for your caffeine pick-me-up during long study sessions
- Collaborative workspaces with whiteboards for jotting down notes
- Cozy spaces to hunker down and hit the books when you need to focus
- Mack Mart, the perfect pit stop for grab-and-go snacks, small bites, beverages and more
- Our O’Brien Center for Career Development, located on the 2nd floor, gives you the tools, support and guidance to create a personalized career plan and build the skills you need to get there
- The Academic Success Center and Tutoring Center, located on the 3rd floor, for when you need homework help and support
