The Merrimack Valley has many options for off-campus adventures. Just a 20 minute walk from campus, Downtown Andover is home to many restaurants, cafes and stores that have become Merrimack favorites. Within a 25 minute drive of campus, you could be hiking at Weir Hill or Harold Parker State Forest, shopping at the Rockingham Mall or the Loop, riding roller coasters at Canobie Lake Park or apple picking at Smolak Farms.
Easy Access to Boston
For those who want a taste of city life, Merrimack is only 25 miles from Boston and is easily accessible by the commuter rail’s Haverhill Line, which can get you from campus to downtown Boston in just over an hour. Enjoy the city’s attractions like Fenway Park, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the New England Aquarium and so much more! Boston is also a great place to complete an internship, co-op or clinical at some of the best hospitals, firms and companies in the country.

Campus Transportation
The Warrior Shuttle and Merrimack Valley Transit offer free transportation both on and off-campus for Merrimack College students! Some regular stops include CVS and Market Basket for those weekly errands and grocery runs, or the train station for a quick trip into Boston. Students can request a ride on the Warrior Shuttle in advance to local destinations. You can catch a movie, grab a bite, hit up the mall and more—without having to worry about parking, gas or paying for Uber!
