You’re officially a Warrior—congrats! 🎉 So… what’s next? As you get ready to start your journey at Merrimack this fall, we’ve got you covered with your personalized MackTasks to-do list.
These tasks are designed to keep you on track and help you feel confident and prepared for your first semester. Some MackTasks are ready for you to tackle now while others will pop up throughout the summer, so keep an eye on your inbox! Check out some of the upcoming MackTasks you’ll see in your portal:Â
Complete your academic interest form
Due: May 20
The Academic Interest Form asks about your interests, hobbies and career aspirations so we can help set you up for success from day one. Your advisor will use your answers—along with your math assessment and major requirements—to build a schedule that fits your goals. You’ll go over it together at Orientation to make sure everything looks good!
take a Math assessment
Due: May 20
Don’t stress—your math assessment is just a way for us to see where you’re at. Every school teaches math a little differently, and this helps your advisor place you in the right class. It’s online, untimed and usually takes less than an hour. It won’t affect your major or scholarship, and you’re not expected to know everything (we promise)! However, the assessment should be completed this week so your advisor can place you into the right class early.
Sign up for orientation
Due: May 27
This one’s easy—just choose your date, pick a single-day or overnight session and sign up! Orientation isn’t just about getting to know campus; it’s your first real chance to meet your future classmates, make new friends and kick off your college journey. This MackTask is due May 27, so don’t delay. You don’t want to miss this!
Upload a photo for your Mack card
Due: June 10
You’ll use your Merrimack ID for everything on campus—getting into buildings, grabbing meals and more—so pick a pic you’re proud of! Whether it’s your best grad photo or a selfie you actually like, this is your chance to show off a little personality! Just make sure it’s clear, appropriate and school-friendly (save the sunglasses and filters for Instagram).
Fill out the housing questionnaire
Due: June 24
If you decided to live on campus next year, this form will help match you with a roommate. The questionnaire will ask about your living habits, preferences and lifestyle so we can match you with someone compatible. If you have someone specific in mind that you want to room with, you can both request each other.
